Students continued going over the notes from Covalent Compounds and how they compare with Ionic Compounds.
The instructor: Mrs. Cook
Students took notes and discussed how to balance chemical equations using coefficients. They compared coefficients with subscripts and learned the effect of the law of conservation of matter in balancing equations.
Mrs. Cook went over the answers to their E-Day assignment with the class. Then, they began to go over notes for the Chemical Reactions concepts.

Students worked on "Chemical Change" Review Questions to finish in class. If they did not finish the questions in class, they were to be completed for homework. They were reminded of their E-Day assignments which are on Google Classroom. They were also reminded of the Decathlon, thend of the 3rd 9 Weeks grading period and how soon the Spring Break begins in 10 days.
Instructor: Mrs. Cook
Students were allowed to watch a video on the projector introducing Chemical Reactions from Billy Nye, the Science Guy. They had questions to answer as they watched the video. They were also advised of their E-Day assignment and how to access it on their Google Classroom
Instructor: Mrs. Cook...
Students received their Ionic Compounds Chapter Test back and were allowed to correct the questions that they missed by "item analysis". It was an attempt to see what they missed and determine why they missed certain questions. They were allowed to use their notes and textbook to find the correct answers.
