MHS News 2/28/2017

*Students: Please be reminded that your 2017-2018 course selection forms, as well as any SCCC applications, are due today. You may leave in Ms. Allen’s box or give to the English or History teacher present when classroom visits took place.
*There will be a Students Institute Field Trip on Friday, March 3rd. Students who cannot go need to see Mrs. Pastor sometime prior to Friday to let her know. Dress in MHS attire and lunch will be provided as usual.

Applications also available in the main office.
*Juniors and Seniors: A representative from Alabama A&M University will be on campus Thurs., March 2 to meet with interested students. Sign up in the Guidance Office to learn more about what A&M has to offer.

Congratulations to he varsity boys basketball team for A GREAT SEASON this year! Their overall record was 26-5, they were 19-1 regular season, they were area champs, and regional runner-up. Take a moment and congratulate the Montevallo bulldogs basketball team.

Today, 2/22, the MHS Boys Basketball team will play Midfield at 2:15 at the Alabama State gymnasium in Montgomery. Any student wishing to leave school and attend must be checked out by a parent or guardian listed on the student’s check out list, as students must provide their own transportation to the event. The person checking them out will sign a document that will serve as an excuse for afternoon classes.

Congratulations to the boys and girls soccer teams for their success at the Townsend-Holt Classic Tournament this weekend.
The boys took home second place overall and won 1st and 2nd places in the 3v3 tournament. The girls team won 1st place in the 3v3 tournament. Come out and show your support this week as the boys team plays Chelsea tonight at 5:30, and both teams play Holtville on Friday
Congratulations to the boys basketball team for winning in the sweet sixteen this weekend. They will travel back to Alabama State to play Midfield in the regional championship game Wednesday @2:15. Wish them good luck! Come out and support your dawgs as they get closer to winning a state championship!

*Come out tomorrow night as the Bulldogs play American Christian in the Sweet 16 beginning 7 pm at Alabama State University. They do have regulations regarding approved bags to be brought into the stadium. You may pick up a copy in the main office. Also, they encourage you to get there early due to security checks. Attention Seniors: If you plan to travel to ASU for Saturday’s game, they will be offering a great opportunity for on-site admissions. You just need to bring an official copy of your transcript and test scores to the Acadome’s Hornet Lounge at Section 4. See Ms. Allen today!
