Students who need to access classrooms beyond the library will need to take the route through the athletic hall. Hallway access will open once testing is complete.

TODAY during GPS, there will be a required training in Mrs. Pastor’s class for all leadership mentors who will be helping with the 8th grade Shadowing Day. You will receive notification in your history classes if you are on the mentor list to help with this program.

Students parking in spaces #1 –8 will need to park in the old student lot tomorrow. These spaces will be blocked for county maintenance.

The MHS Talent Show today during Late Activity. Tickets for the Talent Show will be on sale during lunch for $5.00. You must have a ticket in order to leave class. No tickets sold after lunch or at the door.

Please be reminded that MHS will run a regular schedule for Friday, April 21.  All students will report to school at the normal first bell at 7:39.

*The MHS Talent Show is coming up on April 24th during Late Activity. Tickets for the Talent Show will be on sale starting Wednesday during each lunch period for $5.00.
*All Students Institute Participants will have a brief meeting during their GPS time in Mrs. Pastor’s class on Monday, April 24.
*On Tuesday April 25th during GPS, there will be a required training in Mrs. Pastor’s class for all leadership mentors who will be helping with the 8th grade Shadowing Day. You will receive notification in your history classes if you are on the mentor list to help with this program.
*There will be a working lunch meeting for SGA members on Friday, April 21 in Mrs. Pastor’s class. 9th and 9th grade members get lunch at beginning of 4th period and bring to Mrs. Pastor’s class. 11th and 12th grade do the same at the beginning of 5th period.

“The MHS soccer program is holding a used athletic gear drive. If you have any old equipment from any sport, from golf balls to tennis rackets to baseball bats, bring it in to Coach Niven or Coach Cooley’s room or place it in one of the drop off points located throughout the school. All donated gear will help support the soccer program.”

The Montevallo FFA Chapter and Alumni will be holding our annual Farm Day event tomorrow. All MES students will attend a day of agriculturally related activities. Saturday (9:30-2:00) will be open to the public for a great community event. Boston Butts will be sold until they run out.

There will be a faculty/student basketball game on May 5th. See Coach D to sign up.

It’s time to show that MHS has talent! The MHS Choral Department is presenting the MHS Talent Show on the afternoon of April 24th in the PAC. Admission will be $5. Mu Alpha Theta Members are gathering book bags, drawstring bags, small suitcases, and duffle bags. Gently Used, not new for the Alabama Children’s Home to give to children that arrive at the center with nothing to put their belongings into. Also, collecting can food for the Shelby Emergency. Please see any math teacher or Mu Alpha Theta member for more details.
