HAPPENING THIS WEEK!

Sat– Auxilary Crafter & Vendor Spring Event (band practice field)

Come out tomorrow as the MHS Band Auxiliary will be hosting their 1st Annual Spring Event. There will be over 50 vendors to shop from. Food trucks, Kona Ice, and FREE activities for children and a Climbing wall for teenagers. Over $500 in merchandise to give away at the silent auction.


There are still students with class fees balances. These must be paid in full ASAP. Fees may be paid online @Myschoolbucks.com. You may sign in as a guest or create an account.


Anyone interested in signing up for wrestling, see Coach Langer.


Volleyball tryouts will be held May 6th &7th from 5-7 pm in high school gym.


Girls’ basketball tryouts will be held May 10th & 11th from 5-7 in high school gym.


Access Codes for registration were given to students. Please complete the online S.C.O.R.E. once you receive your child’s code. Codes for remote students have been mailed out.

Anyone interested in being a student sports medicine volunteer for the spring and upcoming football season…a sign up sheet is located on the door of the training room in the athletic hall. Details are mentioned on the sign up sheet. There will be a meeting Friday during 3rd period.


Access Codes for Registration for the 2021-2022 school year have been given to the students or mailedvto the remote online students. Please make sure you select RETURNING STUDENT AND SCHOOLvYEAR 2021-2022. If you selected the 2020-2021 school year you will need to register again forvthe 2021-2022 school year.
Please register as soon as possible. We would like all students to be registered by May 31.
Information for providing current Proofs of Residence will be provided later.

Students: Please keep in mind that Shelby County Schools is continuing the required wearing of masks through Friday April 23. All students are expected to comply with any guidelines set forth by our Board of Education, so masks should be worn while at school for the safety of everyone. The office supply of masks has now been depleted, so students are
responsible for supplying their own masks for the remainder of the week.

Attention 10th graders, If you missed taking the Pre-ACT test in February, the make-up exam will be Thursday. This will be the last opportunity to take the Pre-ACT. Please arrive at school promptly at 8 AM and bring pencils and a calculator.

National Honor Society is hosting the Decathlon this Thursday! Tickets are $5 for the entire day and all proceeds benefit the Humane Society. Tickets will be sold during 3rd period. Morning CTEC students who want to attend can purchase tickets from the front office until 1:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday.

Future Teacher Officer applications for next year are due THURS. to Mrs. Cabrera.


After School Detention will be held TOMORROW in Mrs. Nunn’s room beginning at 3:05.


Attention Seniors! *Cap and gown handout during 3rd period this week to all traditional seniors who have paid all outstanding school fees. Seniors will be called by last name each day.
*SUCCESS and Remote Students who have paid all outstanding school fees are welcome to come after school between 3-4 pm this week to pick up their caps and gowns in the Alice Boyd Building (where the lunchroom is)
*Any Senior who did not take the Alabama Civics Exam in December will be required to take it during the week of April 26-29, 2021. You will be contacted by Ms. Pastor for a date and time of makeup.

Crop tops that expose your midriffs are not permitted. Students who continue to wear cropped shirts will be asked to have someone bring an appropriate shirt. If you are unaware of the dress code, please check your handbook or come by the main office for a copy.

Attention Juniors: Next Tuesday, April 6th is ACT Make-up day. IF you were not here for the original test day, you will be pulled to take the ACT. Please bring a calculator for the test. See Mrs. Williams if you have any questions.
