*Announcements:

* The next student institute field trip will be this Friday December 2nd. Students involved will need to get with their teachers and get any make up work that they may need for that day.

*This Friday will be break, so don’t have any tardies or silent lunches this week.

*There will be an away basketball game at Jemison tomorrow night at 5pm

*Archery try-out day will be right after school on Thursday, Dec. 8 in the lunchroom until 4pm.  This is by invitation only.   See Coach Jett or Horton if you have any questions.

* Tennis try-outs for 7th and 8th grade boys and girls will be on Wednesday, December 13 and Thursday December 14 at the city courts right after school until 5pm.  See Coach Jett with questions.  You must have a note to ride a bus to get off at MES to attend try-outs unless you ride a car.

*Tonight there will be a parent baseball meeting at 6pm in the MMS lunchroom.

*There will be an away basketball game at Jemison on Thursday at 5pm

Happy Birthday:

*Current MJCC (Montevallo Junior City Council) middle school members would like to hear ideas from students. If you have an idea that you would like to propose to the Junior Council, please place your thought in the decorated box in the office and library with your name, grade, and idea. These boxes will be checked weekly, at the end of every Friday. We would also like to invite anyone who wants to come to our next meeting on Wednesday, December 7 at the Montevallo city hall at 5:15.

*We would like to welcome our newest employee, Mrs. Jones.  She will be mostly working with the 6th grade team.

*Keep contributing to the coin war between Alabama and Auburn Fans. Place your coins to place in the jars this week.  The grade level with the most money raised will get free play on Friday during 4th period. So far it looks like the 6th grade is winning.

*The basketball team is playing in Columbiana at 5pm. Thursday night the team plays at home.

*7th and 8th grade Scholar’s Bowl will meet after school today in the library.

*The DAWG HOUSE rocked last night as the boys came from behind to win a nail bitter against Bibb County.  The girls were defeated in the final quarter, but both teams played well, and we are extremely proud of them.  They play today at Columbiana and then the HOME game is this Thursdayvs. West Blocton.  Come support the basketball teams.
