*Character Education Theme for the Week: Responsibility

 Announcements:

*The Montevallo Day of Pageants will be held on February 6th in the Performing Arts Center at MHS.  The registration packets are now in the office for pick up and are due on Friday, January 29th.

*Students received a pre physical form in PE classes.  The cost to receive a physical from Lemak is $5.00.  Please return your forms & money by tomorrow.  This Friday will be the physical field trip to the High School during 3rd and part of 4th period.   All students wishing to try out for Spring or upcoming Fall sports needs to have a physical on file.  This includes 6th graders trying out for Fall sports this April.

*This Friday we will have a wrestling and basketball fundraiser activity in the gym.  It will cost $2.00 to participate in the activity. The wrestlers will play basketball and the basketball players will wrestle.  It should be fun to come and watch.

*Please keep bringing in box tops.  For every 10 that you bring in, you will receive two tardy to class passes.

*This Wednesday will be a free UM basketball game for your entire family.  The free family ticket was attached to your report card.

*The Candy Bar Fundraiser will start Wednesday.  Your permission to sell was attached to your report card.  You must have a permission slip in order to sell the candy.  The top sellers will get prizes.

*Literary magazine submissions are due to Ms. Moore or your ELA teacher by the end of January.

*Tennis practice will begin today after school at the Tennis courts by the Library from 3-4

*The Honor Roll party will be held this Thursday afternoon.

*Congratulations to the student of the week:  Jon Mancha.  He was nominated by Mrs. Moore.  Mrs. Moore states that Jon has demonstrated the character traits of responsibility and perseverance by improving in his schoolwork and behavior in class.
