• ATTENTION: All incoming 7th-8th graders interested in playing baseball for MMS/MHS. Tryouts will be Saturday, September 12^th from 9:00-12:00 at MHS Baseball Field/Orr Park.  Make sure you bring: your own water, mask, glove, hat, baseball pants, cleats, bat (if available), helmet (if available), catcher’s gear (if needed)*You must attend the tryout in order to be considered for the MMS/MHS baseball program. Any conflict needs to be communicated to Coach Shelton as soon as possible. *In order to tryout, all players must have a completed dragonfly account with the proper files uploaded (physical, concussion form, consent forms). Any questions about this can be sent to Coach Shelton.  Sign up by emailing Coach Shelton (c2shelton@shelbyed.org). The deadline to sign up and have DragonFly info completed is September 4^th.   See Mrs. Whitson if you have any questions.

• Yearbooks are now on sale for the discounted price of $30.00. This price will only last through the month of April, so be sure to reserve your copy now. You can give cash or a check (made out to MMS) to Mrs. Harding. You can also pay online with a debit card by going to yearbookordercenter.com and using the school code 1564. Please see Mrs. Harding for any questions.
• Talent show information is now available! Stop by the choir/band room to pick up one.
• Students don’t forget, the grading period ends in two days! Make a strong effort to make up any missing assignments before your teachers post report card grades.
• Any 8th grade girl interested in trying out for high school volleyball needs to attend the mandatory parent meeting in the MHS PAC next Monday March 16 at 5:30.  See Coach Jett with any questions.
• We want to wish our archery team good luck on Thursday and Friday of this week as they travel to Prattville to compete in their regional tournament.  Archers should see Coach Jett today during PE for their information slips. There will NOT be anymore 4th period practices. Teachers – please allow them to make up any work that they miss.  Thanks
