Cheer Tryout Info Meeting – This will take place on Monday, February 3 at 5:30 in the cafeteria. Packets are available for pick up from Ms. Salmon/Ms. Toretta’s room (D4/B21)
Dance tryout packets are now available from Mrs. Bishop in room C-9.
Phase 1 will meet Monday, Jan. 27th. Pick up is at 4:15.
Science club will be Tuesday, January 28th from 3:15 until 4:30.
Congratulations to everyone who participated in the OMMS FCCLA cook-off yesterday. There were so many delicious entries and judging was a challenge! Our winners for each category were: Dairy Dessert – Sissy B with “Classic Creamy Cheesecake”; Poultry – Sophia M with “Panko Pesto Crusted Chicken”; Beef – Alyssa L with “Nuevo Chipotle Beef in Butternut Squash Boats”. Winners will advance to compete at the county level at the University of Montevallo on February 21.
Debate team will practice today in Mrs. Bolt’s room until 4:00.

Mardi Gras Gala – Academic Partners is excited to host the Mardi Gras Gala on Friday, 2/7 from 7-10 pm. Admission tickets and fun tickets will be for sale at school on 2/5, 2/6, and 2/7 during lunch as well as at the event. Admission tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. Fun Tickets (these will be used for all activities and food) are $1 each. FOOD and ACTIVITIES: Chick-Fil-A nuggets 3 tickets, Pepperoni or Cheese Pizza 2 tickets, Crazy Bread 3 tickets, Krispy Kreme donuts 2 tickets, Cake Walk 1 ticket, Selfie Station 1 ticket, and the concession stand will be open with 1-3 tickets for various beverages and candy. Registration for the Oak Mountain High School Color Run is now open at www.oakmountaincolorrun.com. The date is March 7 at Oak Mountain State Park. All proceeds will benefit the O’Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center at UAB. Help us pass the $100,000 mark raised by supporting and signing up this year!

Baseball and softball practices are cancelled for today.
Student-athletes who attended physical day will receive their physical back on Friday in PE. Parents should upload to DragonFly Max. For those who do not have a DragonFly Max account, instructions for creating an account are attached.
Anyone who wants to try out for the OMMS Track and Field team needs to see Coach Dillard in the gym to sign up. Try-outs are February 5th-6th, 2020.
