6th and 7th grade girls interested in trying out for the OMMS volleyball teams for 2020 should sign up with Coach Gunnels (A-21) or Coach Brown (C-10). Tryouts are April 6-9. All requirements must be met on DragonFly and all paperwork turned in by Friday, April 3 – ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS. All information is on the volleyball blog.
Book Olympiad practices Tuesday and Thursday from 3-4 p.m. Pick up at door #4.
If you are a student that plays a sport at OMHS, please send a picture to Mrs. Thomas at email@example.com of your OMMS group, including names of all students pictured from left to right or set up a time BEFORE Friday 3/6 with Mrs. Thomas to take a picture during advisory.

Our partnership allows for extremely targeted advertising to almost 1,100 students and their families! Registration for the Oak Mountain High School Color Run is now open at www.oakmountaincolorrun.com. The date is March 7 at Oak Mountain State Park. All proceeds will benefit the O’Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center at UAB. Help us pass the $100,000 mark raised by supporting and signing up this year!

PowerUP: It’s a Mother-Daughter Thing is next Tuesday, March 10th! This event invites 6th-12th grade girls and their parent or guardian to learn about careers in construction. If you haven’t signed up already, now is your chance! This year will be the 5th anniversary of the event and we have 30 vendors and higher education/training providers signed up to exhibit! We also have some very special guests lined up to speak on the panel.
The event will take place at the Alabama Workforce Training Center (3500 6th Ave. S. Birmingham, AL 35222) from 5:30-8:30pm next Tuesday, March 10th. Dinner and refreshments will be provided!
