Jefferson State Community College Counselor’s Scholarships

This year, Jeff State is offering two different types of counselor’s scholarships! One is an academic scholarship and the other is a career technical scholarship. These scholarships are full tuition scholarships!

Students must meet the following criteria to be nominated by their counselor:

Academic:
– Must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA
– Must be an U.S. citizen or permanent resident status;
– Must have completed an admission application to Jefferson State for Fall 2021 semester.
– Complete a 2021-2022 FAFSA for Jefferson State. JSCC school code is 001022.

Career Technical:
– Must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA
– Must have been involved in CTE in high school
– Must be an U.S. citizen or permanent resident status;
– Must have completed an admission application to Jefferson State for Fall 2021 semester.
– Complete a 2021-2022 FAFSA for Jefferson State. JSCC school code is 001022.

Requirements for both Academic and Career Technical Scholarships:
– Typed, two-page essay by student on the topic “What are your career goals, and how will earning a college degree from JSCC help achieve those goals?”. Essay must be 12-point font, double spaced, and a minimum of 500 words in total.
– Typed resume of student activities.
– Completed student information section on the nomination form specific to the type of scholarship you are applying for, either academic or CTE (both forms attached below).

Essay and nomination form must be submitted to Mrs. Keahey NO LATER than May 3, 2021.
Mrs. Keahey will submit the nomination packet to Jeff State on recipient’s behalf.
