Greetings from ALA Girls State!
We are looking forward to another wonderful year at ALA Alabama Girls State, and none of it would be possible without the work and dedication of the American Legion Auxiliary and the high schools who send delegates! ALA Girls State will be held June 5-10, 2022, on the campus of Troy University. It is an honor and privilege to pursue the ALA mission: “For God and country, we advocate for veterans, educate our citizens, mentor youth, and promote patriotism, good citizenship, peace and security”.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Be a junior in high school to be selected.
- Have an interest in government and current events, high moral character, strong leadership ability, and above average scholastic standing.
- Not have participated in a previous session of Girls State.
- Be able to participate in ALL activities from Sunday, June 5-Friday, June 10.
