Alfa Foundation Scholarship Program High school seniors and college students should act quickly to apply for thousands of dollars in scholarship money through two programs. Jan. 31 is the deadline to apply for both the Alfa Foundation Scholarship Program and the Alabama Farmers Agriculture Foundation (AFAF) Program. In its sixth year, the Alfa Foundation Scholarship Program will award 100 scholarships worth $1,000 to students studying at an Alabama college, university or technical school. Through the AFAF Scholarship Program, one student per county may be awarded a $1,750 scholarship. More than 20,000 agriculture-related jobs go unfilled each year, according to a recent job report from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. ECO Credit Union-A.L. Bratcher Scholarship
The A.L. Bratcher Scholarship is for high school seniors who will be enrolled or plan to be enrolled in an undergraduate course of study during the 2019-2020 academic school year at an accredited 2-or 4-year college, university, or vocational-technical college in the United States.
Deadline for the A.L. Bratcher Scholarship is March 15, 2019.

The Central Alabama Community College Ambassador Organization is a distinguished group of students selected to serve as representatives for the College on campus and in the community. Applicants are evaluated on the
completed scholarship application and interviews.
Students are required to have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA and an ACT score. The scholarship covers in-state tuition, facility fees, technology fees, bond surety fees, and special building fees.
APPLICATION DEADLINE: Packets MUST be received no later than 4:00 p.m., February 1, 2019. Application is attached below.

Students must meet the following criteria to be nominated by their counselor:
Students interested should submit a typed, two-page essay on the topic “What are your career goals, and how will earning a college degree from JSCC help achieve those goals?” to the guidance office no later than May 1, 2019.

35 high school academic, full-tuition and fees scholarships will be awarded to outstanding high school seniors who plan to enroll beginning Fall 2019. The scholarships may be renewed for one additional year provided the student earns a total of 24 credit hours and maintains a 3.0 cumulative GPS at the completion of the spring 2020 semester.
A complete application packet must be submitted to the financial aid office or postmarked no later than March 1, 2019. Attached is a flyer listing the criteria that a student must meet in order to apply for the scholarship.

All scholarship recipients will be required to complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA) at http://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/fafsa for the 2019-2020 school year. Jefferson State’s school code is 001022.

As part of the Ambassador Scholarship, the JSCC Ambassadors serve as the official hosts and hostesses for campus events. JSCC is looking for students who display leadership skills, have servant hearts, and are self-motivated.
Applicants must have a 3.0 GPA or higher.
Deadline for submission is February 1, 2019 @ 4:00 pm.
