Central Alabama Community College offers competitive scholarships to qualified students. Scholarship applications are available on the website. Application must be on Central Alabama Scholarship Application forms and be accompanied by all required documents as listed on the application.
Lhoist North America desires to support the community by offering a scholarship opportunity to graduating high school seniors.
The Lhoist North America Community Scholarship is available to students in the 2021 graduating class. A $1,000 scholarship will be granted to the student most deserving based on financial need, demonstrated moral integrity, involvement in outside activities and work ethics with a clearly articulated career goal.
A committee of Lhoist North America employees will select the scholarship recipient. Applications must be received in our local office no later than April 5, 2021. Students should mail or email applications and supporting documents to Emily Kelley’s attention at the address below.

This Memorial Scholarship is established to honor the memory of our beloved mother Mrs. Ora Jones who passed away on March 30, 2011 from Congestive Heart Disease. Throughout her life she significantly impacted and influenced countless individuals by rendering sacrificial service. This scholarship is established with the following goal in mind: to help educate a child in order to motivate them to live out the principles modeled by our mother so that they can demonstrate a life of service by giving back and helping someone else along life’s journey.
- Must have an acceptance letter to either a 2 yr. or 4 yr. college or university.
- Must have at least a 2.75 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale.
- Must submit a 1000 word essay which depicts the importance of the scholarship and describe how they will use
their education to give back to the community.
- Must provide a cover letter with the following:
a. Full name
b. Address, phone number, email, and name of high school you will graduate from
c. A brief biography about yourself
Deadline for entry: Friday, April 23, 2021
Scholarships awarded: $500-1,000 each

Each year the SCEA presents $1000 scholarships in two categories: student and member. The student scholarships are awarded to graduating high school seniors who are children or grandchildren of SCEA members. The member scholarship is awarded to an SCEA member who is furthering his or her career by seeking an advanced college degree in an education-related field.
Attached are the applications for these two scholarships. All guidelines must be followed correctly for the application to be accepted. The completed packet of materials must be received by Friday, April 2nd at 3:00 pm. No electronic applications are accepted.

The Wilsonville United Methodist Women are once again accepting applications for the Marylou Kelley Scholarship.
Your application MUST INCLUDE the following attachments:
1. Your current RESUMÉ, which must include any awards, honors, recognitions you have received, as well as all extra-curricular activities (school, community, civic, church) you have participated in, and volunteer experience during your high school years.
2. An original ESSAY describing your college and career goals, and how this scholarship will help you to attain these goals. You must include information about your family circumstances that could hinder your ability to pay for a college education, and why you feel you should receive this scholarship award.
3. Official high school TRANSCRIPT certified by a high school official.
4. Official copy of your ACT/SAT Scores.
5. PROOF OF ACCEPTANCE into college, university, or technical school.
6. TWO LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION. Letters cannot be written by a relative.
A. One letter must be from a teacher regarding applicant’s accomplishments in his/her class.
B. One letter must be from a pastor, youth minister, youth counselor, or school counselor
regarding applicant’s attitude, ability to relate well to others, and his/her moral
