Vincent JROTC Helps Out the Owen’s House

Vincent High School JROTC cadets recently volunteered to repaint the stripes on the Owen’s House parking lots on October 11.  The Yellowjacket Battaliondid the project as community service to provide a valuable service to the facility, which serves abused and battered children in Shelby County.  Board of Directors member Judy Gallups called on Vincent JROTC to request assistance in repainting the stripes, which had become very faded and hard to see.

“We are always happy to give back to our local communities, and are especially happy to help out an organization that does work as important the Owen’s House organization,” said Command Sergeant Major Mary Kyser.
