The students of Calera Intermediate School have adopted members of the Calera Police Department to thank them for their service.  Each homeroom has adopted one or two members of the police department and will send cards, candy, and other items to them each month.  Several employees from the Calera Police Department have visited the classrooms that adopted them. 

“This is a great opportunity for the student’s to build relationships with the police officers and thank them for their service,” said Principal Brent Copes. “The faculty and staff hope this opportunity will build relationships between the student’s and police officers that will last for many years.”
