Two Oak Mountain High School student will have their works featured during the 2nd Annual Alabama High School Juried Art Show, sponsored by the Shelby County Arts Council (SCAC), the University of Alabama and Regions Bank.  Winners of the statewide competition for 1oth-12th grade will announced during the opening reception and College Preview Day on Sunday, November 3 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the SCAC Gallery in Columbiana. College art professors will be in attendance at the event.  A $500 prize will be awarded for Best in Show and each media category winner will receive $100.

Gina Sherman and Nora Boone, both senior advanced photography students, will be competing in the photography category.  Sherman will have two pieces, entitled Deception and Bubble, in the competition.  Boone will have one piece, entitled Impact.
