Chelsea Middle School Athletic Boosters,
What a GREAT first year we have enjoyed. THANK YOU for all of your support! While I am writing to inform you of our upcoming booster club nominations and elections (process and timeline below), I would first like to tell you a little of what we have achieved this year for our middle School Athletes. We are very excited about our first year and fired-up about what the future holds for our Middle School. This year was quite a year. In our first year, we were able to:
• Create the Middle School Athletic Booster Club
• Establish Bi-Laws
• Host officer elections
• Host two Major and multiple minor fundraisers
• Provided nearly $10,000 in funds to our Schools Athletic Programs

Would like to give a SPECIAL THANK YOU to this year’s Board members and middle school Athletic Director – Lance Hutcheson, Sadaka Hall, Debbie Arnold, Dawn Reeves, AD – Justin Bright and a HUGE THANK YOU to Codie Thoma and Vicki Burleson for all of the tremendous work and long hours you donated this year! Great First Year guys.

While we have established a solid foundation to build on, there are so many needs that we were not able to touch and so much more for us to accomplish for our children. WE NEED YOU! We need your membership, your voice, your participation and your nominees for the 2014-2015 Athletic Booster Club for the following offices:
• President
• Vice President
• Treasurer
• Fundraising (2)
• Secretary
• Publicity Coordinator

Nomination/Election Timeline:
• June 14th – Nomination Deadline
• June 23rd – Election
• July 7th – Officer Installation

You can nominate someone by sending an email to askahornet@gmail.com and specify their name and position you are nominating them for. Please come join our Monthly Meetings. We host regular Monthly Meetings on the first Monday of each month at 6:30 pm. Announcements – May 20

ANNOUNCEMENTS: 5/20/14

In order to participate in end of year activities, you must not owe any money in the library or cafeteria – this includes Field Day and 8th gr Graduation. Make sure you have turned in all library books and paid any overdue book fines to the library. Also make sure you do not owe any money in the lunchroom.

You can pick up your pictures from the Valentine’s Dance in Ms. Houston’s room

May 22nd is the last day to buy tickets for the 8th Grade Banquet. Tickets will not be sold at the door. Tickets are $15 this week. You can purchase your tickets in Ms. Houston’s room. The dance is from 7:00-9:00. Dress is semi-formal.

Mark your calendar for these important dates: 8th gr Graduation will be Thursday, May 22, at 8:30 a.m. at the middle school football stadium. 6th gr Awards Ceremony will be Friday, May 23, at 8:15a.m.in the gym and 7th gr Awards Ceremony will be Friday, May 23, at 9:45 a.m. in the gym.

6th and 7th Grade Ceremony – May 23

The sixth and seventh grade awards ceremony is NOT our normal end of the nine weeks A /AB Honor roll. For this ceremony, the teachers give their class awards, special awards, and academic team awards.
