Divorce Support Group (Parents & Children)
Coping with Divorce
Please see info below for support group resource for divorced parents and children ages 5-12. This is a 13 week long program that only cost $20 (for workbook) There will be another session starting in January.

Divorce is not the end, but an event in your life. DC4K is a new beginning for Kids of Divorce, a way to help them talk about their fear and apprehension, heal and look forward to their future.

Parents: Divorce Care Group

At DivorceCare you will become part of a small support group of people who are also experiencing separation and divorce. You’ll meet others who understand what you are feeling and who will be able to offer you encouragement. You’ll also have a chance to talk about the information presented during the DivorceCare seminar. Many participants say these support groups are the most helpful part of the program. However, if you are apprehensive about talking, your are not required to participate. You can just sit back and listen. When you are comfortable and feel ready to participate you are welcome to speak up as you feel the need.
Children: DC4K Group

During DC4K your children become involved in a fun, caring group with weekly session topics helping children learn how to deal with the devastation of divorce and helps turn their sadness to hope and their anger to joy.
Each session is filled with motivating and exciting activities. Games, crafts, role playing, discussion times, journaling, and Activity Books help your children process the divorce and move forward in their lives. Music CDs, snacks, read aloud stories, and exercises, teach your children to relax. The Kids Like Me and Stories from the video dramas present stories of children just like your children, who are experiencing divorce-related problems and have found help and encouragement.
