Our selection for this week is ” The Scholarship Jacket” page 339 .Well, with the induction last Wednesday of our 40 eighth graders into our NJHS, and the controversy surrounding Alabama’s new immigration law, it was indeed a timely short story we read about a poor Hispanic girl who was to be denied her hard won scholarship jacket.
Don’t forget the reading log is due on Thursdays along with the vocabulary homework and extra credit if you choose to do it.
I have added an ongoing extra credit opportunity and it is listed in the pages section of this site.
