New reading logs were distributed today. They are due on October 26. Students are allowed 2 blank dates. Logs should be easy “A’s”. Please note that reading logs are not just busy work or gimme grades. It is extremely important that students read for a sustained 20 minutes each night. I allow them to read whatever they wish as long as it is on grade level and of sufficient length so they can read print for 20 sustained minutes.
There will be no test next week. We will finish “Three Skeleton Key” on Monday. On Tuesday we will do a little speed dating in the library and on Wednesday we will begin our new unit of non-fiction narratives including biography, autobiography and memoir.
9 week review tests are graded and I am trying to get them in for Monday.
