We ended Part I of Daniel’s Story yesterday and today we took a test on part 1. It is wonderful to hear so many students talk about how much they love the book and to hear them beg to borrow the class books to read ahead.
Daniel, the narrator of our book, tells us his story through pictures he has taken and placed in an album. Next week students will be writing memoirs using pictures from home. They will need a copy of a picture that I can keep along with their memoir. I have asked students to make sure they bring only copies of pictures to use for this project. It would break my heart for something to happen to a treasured only copy. We will start pre-writing activities on Monday.
