Underline each adverb, and circle the word it modifies. [Hint: Some sentences

have more than one adverb.]

2. Penny skates quite gracefully.

3. The little boy chuckled nervously.

4. Our team played well today.

5. The batter swung forcefully at the ball.

6. Quickly Bill opened the carefully wrapped package.

7. Sherry usually speaks softly.

8. Yesterday the girls took a walk.

9. Tim does that dance move correctly.

10. Later Ben kindly helped me with the chores.
