As most of you know by now, I am on Family Medical Leave. The news we got about my husband on January 30 was devastating and I am caring him at home as long as I am able. We have been married for 38 years and have 2 children and a grandson. His name is Al.
I strive to be in my classroom 187 days a year but that will not happen this year and that leaves me disappointed and a little lost. I miss my students.
Mrs. Pierce brought me all of the friendly letters and written book reports that were turned in. I have read, mostly with delight, and graded all of them and entered the grades into I-now. If there is not a grade for you for those assignments in I-Now you must turn in the assignment by Monday March 2 to get full credit if you were absent or 1/2 credit if you were late. I am concerned at the number of students who have not turned these in.
I very much enjoyed reading the friendly letters and was touched by many of the letters to aunts, uncles and especially to the grandparents.
Please e-mail me at bherbert@shelbyed.org if you need to ask a question but keep in mind I have been out since January 26 and am not sure of my return date.
