The “Hollywood Producer” project is due on April 26.  Students have been told the due date daily and it is posted in the classroom.  Most books require 5 to 10 hours of concentrated time to read depending upon the student’s reading rate.  Students were given the assignment and brought to the library to find a book prior to Spring Break.  No other assignments have been given since.  Students have been given 2 hours of clock time to read in class over the course of the last month.  In addition every child has a 20 minute study hall during lunch class.
It may seem trivial when you first hear of it.but when at a recent meeting  Mr. C. Neville, of Farmer’s Insurance, asked the faculty what he could do for us or get for us I thought a second and asked for Jolly Ranchers.  Why?  I reward my students for cleaning and for acts of kindness with the candies.  Money for candy comes out of my pocket. So while everyone laughed, I was hoping he would take me seriously.  He did and the next day 4 large  bags were delivered.
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!
