I am looking forward to meeting you. This will be an exciting and challenging year for you. You will grow and change physically, mentally and emotionaly more this year than ever before. It will be a great year for you and your caregivers. It will also be a great year for me as I watch you become middle schoolers.
Our classroom motto is:
Teachers open the door but you must walk in by yourself. Come on in.
Your first homework assignment is to think about the following 2 questions:
How can you hit a target you can’t see?
What is your favorite book of all the books you have ever read or have had read to you?
Many times in my classroom you will be asked a question that may not have only one correct answer. What is important for me is that you carefully think about an answer until you have one that makes sense and that you can show me makes sense.
How good are you at reading pictures?
What college team will I be pulling for this fall??
We will not be mentioning the 2017 College World Series until further notice.
Our classroom motto is: Teachers open the door but you must walk in by yourself.
I will post on Thursday nights for the upcoming week. I do that because middle school kids have very busy weeks and they need to learn time management. That means for some kids most assignments need to be tackled on the weekend.
If you read this blog say,”I am walking in!” when you see me at my door.
