Our exam will consist of a test on our book The Wednesday Wars. Students have a study guide we will work on in class but they are certainly welcome to review at home.

Students have been given their first 7th grade ELA assignments which involve reading 2 books over the Summer. Written assignments are due on August 13 and the tests are on August 14. This is a mandatory assignment and will be the first assignments for ELA 7th grade. This will make the first impressions for your 7th-grade students.
It is crucial that middle school students read prose, at grade level or higher, for at least 20 sustained minutes, using great concentration, every night.
I also recommend a good vocabulary series to bump vocabularies. A good series will have 3-5 exercises and essays using the words.
