it’s days like today that make me thankful i haven’t adopted my orphan child from africa or europe or china yet so that i have to take that child to office supply stores and fight people over penny buys (b/c after spending my money on adopting, i’ll have no money left to spend on school supplies:)
so a huge thanks to all who have shown up to my room to help so far to get the room ready – ya’ll are great (yes, even you “imaginary trey”) – still time for those of you who want to make an A this year to drop by and lift heavy stuff…
and as for the books…
“growing up colt” – by the mccoys (father and son) – great book – read in a day it was that good – you might remember young colt as the starting QB in bama’s championship win at the rose bowl (he was knocked out on like the third play) – i suppose in the midst of hating the opposition:) i didn’t quite catch the full story of who he was – who his dad was – and so their story was amazing – great, great read for my football fans out there (st. k???)
“how lucky can you be” by olney – story of a south dakota coach who was dying of cancer – and knew it – the last two years he coached – good story about what matters in life – like letting the people around you know that you love them (and then sending them on wind sprints up and down the court until they puke:)
“five minutes on monday” – nook book – little odds and ends devotionals – i’ll probably use a few of the lessons this year – one was on paradoxes – that all of the great truths in life are paradoxical – had never thought of it before
“How to develop your child’s creative mind” – by renzulli and reis – found a few good quotes for the classroom about creative kids – i wish i had a few in the classroom
i finished “last hero” too – and read the player bios in my bama media guide – guess those are most of it – hope you all have a wonderful week where you try not to think of the nightmare that awaits you the following week:)
luv,
maf
hey mr mayfield whenever you stop running that soarnis kicks in but ill tough thourgh itand rest all tommorrow well i will blog for 10 minutes on around the world in eighty days on authors purpose.i think that the authors included this part a herd of buffalo of 2 thosand plus standing on the track because the author wanted to make you think that he wouldnt make it. the author said that they switched cabs in the train because he wanted them to have another reader thinking that they may fall and not make it to england well im going to rest untill football bye
hey mr mayfield i have to go to the foot ball practice for high school at eight. so ill be working out my soar. well im going to blog ten minutes on point of view from me. a part in the book is joseph smith jr was assinated i can relate to that because some presidents were assinated. the train made good progress over night and got to the dead sea and i would be wanting to swim in the sea but they had to move the ground was covered in a light snow i would think that the snow was amazing because the snow dosnt come alot. this book suddenly started to talk about mormans and i think that there are mormans on the train or passpartout and fogg are mormans and i didnt know that but thats it for now so blog tommorrow
hey mr mayfield i had a easy day at football cause no heat and i will blog ten minutes on authors purpose. he said the cowboys took over the train and took everyone as hostages i think that the author included this part to make the reader think that wouldnt make it home. he said that fogg managed to get out i think the author included this because it is a hint that he might try to free everybody. he also said the cowboys took over the train and they didnt know how to control it and the opened the valve in stead of closing it so they where going full speed down the tracks and didnt know how to stop so the author put this in to make the reader think that they would have to jump off the train going full speed well iv got to go and get up at 730 to go to help with football
hey mr mayfield its my birthday and i have to blog so im birthday blogging haha well i will blog on authors purpose on around the wold in eighty days for five minutes. the author said fix pointed out a man he was speaking to during the night so i think that the author may include him in someway in the story with more description. he said that passpartout may go to a place while fix was with fogg and i think that he may get lost or fix may hurt fogg. thats it for my birthday blog
