pet peeve of awards day – i could make a list – but most improved award is one of them…

“comeback” – by the pastor at passion city in atlanta – you may have watched his videos in youth group – great new book – an encouraging read – nothing very new to learn for me, but lots of good reminders – which is that regardless of whether one occurs or not, there’s a longing in the soul to make a comeback – but there are certain battles we need help with

“fenway at 100 years” – this book even came with a dvd – i want to say 1912 is the birth – i think that’s right – anyway, great book with a history of boston’s ballpark – got me ready to start thinking about the marathon – which, at mile 25, one of the better sights is seeing fenway to the right – i’m a sucker for baseball history books anyway

remember, we must all continue to blog or else victoria will shame us

  6. The ceremony doesn’t start until 1:30, so I’m just enjoying the wifi for the time being. I wish I could be there. It’s pretty boring.

    but they’ve actually been good the last few years

    if it’s the football stadium, it’s named after wallace wade – who coached alabama to two national titles and then left for duke – yeah, that doesn’t happen anymore

  13. did you see the chapel yet??? there was a big controversy early in the year – a muslim group wanted a prayer meeting there – evangelicals said no, that the chapel was built for the Christian faith – there were points to both sides

  14. No, Chapel is closed for renovation. We’re in the Cameron Stadium. Basketball. Yay.

    i always find it sad that some don’t go – but that’s b/c i LOVE north carolina – period – so going is fun, regardless

    we played the circle game with the whiteboards in first period – morgan elizabeth had to sit in the circle of shame the first round – she won in the second round – my attempt to get through the blue book

    plus, i had my fun fact of the day about the hobbit

  19. Hobbit Fun Fact Day?! I’m sorry I missed that…make sure they know that the movies are NOTHING like the book.

    bilbo vs. the dwarves – modern man vs. ancient man – modern man vs. myth – both groups have their moments – both also have tragic flaws (the dwarves are too prideful – bilbo is too unheroic)

  28. billy, i think we could all agree that i could give out 10 GT awards – and all well-deserved – easily

    then, there should’ve been a prize for whatever you were at scholar’s bowl in county – which was probably second

    then, fred should’ve gotten a second for being second as well

    then, you could’ve claimed a fantasy draft award

    just getting started here:)

    as for buzzers – challenge accepted – if i have to stop class wednesday or whenever, we will break out buzzers once again for you – and me!!!

    of course, even at alabama and auburn, you can wander around forever after you park

    meanwhile, at south alabama… “parking problems” were when you had to park 150 feet from the front door…
