read across america week – you know, make america great again…

“antifragile” – great economic theory book – by a very bitter man:) the book could’ve been much shorter – but the basic point was good – there were even ties to literature – in the sense that you can project a book’s future by its history – so 80 Days will be around for at least another 130 years – while Twilight may – may – make it another 20…

“eleanor and park” – was okay – best line was near the end – that park wasn’t a boyfriend, he was a champion – and i thought that insight was worth the trouble of reading the book – b/c how many of us end up with champions in our lives – yet we can all be that for other people

  1. “How to read literature like a professor for kids”
    Line:”There is only one story”

This line is important to the book because it is the most emphasized piece of in it. Saying that “there is only one story”, means that every story is connected in some way whether it is through characters, archetypes, or the fact that every book has some part of another literary piece in it.
Each chapter in this built off of that central point of everything is connected to something else and it’s fun to see some of the things that do (like Aslan from the Narnia series being a representation of Jesus Christ).
