MMS Basketball practice will begin o Wednesday, Oct. 23. All players will board my bus after school and go to a study hall until practice begins at 5pm. Practice will be from 5-7pm daily at MMS.

Congratulations to all the members of the 2013-14 MMS Boys Basketball team. The roster should be up by 2pm in Coach Richards/Jetts office door. Thanks to all those who tried out and let's get ready to go to work. 1st workouts begin June 4, @ 8am in the MMS weightroom.

Tough loss at Vincent last night. But, we realized that playing on the road is different that playing at home. We came out the 2nd half and battled, 1st and 2nd teams. We had a successful year in learning to become better people, how to fight through problems, and making better choices as people and basketball players. Now it's up to us to help and continue to develop as GOOD PEOPLE first, then better basketball players SECONDLY.

On Thursday of last week, the MMS BullPUPS avenged an earlier loss to the Westminster Knights. Once again, we played better as a TEAM the 2nd half and pulled out a close one again. Improvement is evident in all areas as a TEAM and as people. Tonight, the BullPUPS travel to the home of the Vincent Yellow Jackets to end the season w/a a resounding victory. Goooo BULLPUPS!!!

Great win vs Jemison last night. The MMS bulldogs are learning how to finish a WIN. We are still in the learning mode, but improvement is evident. Keep up the hard work and playing as a Team. We get Isabella Thursday.

The MMS BullDawgs take on the Calera Middle School Eagles at Montevallo HIGH School tonight. The 7th graders play @ 4:30 and 8th grade boys follow the 8th grade girls game. Go gettum' DAWGS!!!

The BullPUPS are working hard on improving their shooting and FREE THROWS as well as the defensive side. We are improving both as players and people. Keep up the hard work DAWGPUPS!!!

The BullPUPS fought valiantly vs Calera as we "christened" the new Palace. It was a super game in a beautiful edifice. We came up short in the end, but we continue to improve as a team defensively and offensively.

Against Columbiana, we played a different team w/a different style, but continued to improve despite the loss.

The MMS BullPUPS travel to Isabella to play on Friday. The boys have been steadily improving defensively to become a better team and individuals. We are looking forward to display the better attitudes and teamwork of the past week.

Unfortunately, Marbuy's new Basketball Coach was unaware of the previously scheduled game with MMS. Therefore both basketball games between MMS and Marbury MS will be cancelled this year. It will give us a chance to practice on some needed fundamentals and skills. Next game, Nov. 30 vs
