Much discussion was used to learn how to look at a phrase such as "Earth's Resources" and learn how to think about what the topics might cover. We went over the base objectives and how they relate to humans, energy, and the earth.

Earth’s Resources
Students began and completed the Earth's Resources Review Questions. If they did not finish, they were to be completed for homework.
1st 9 Weeks Exam
Today, the students took the 1st 9 Weeks Exam in Earth & Space Science. Upon finishing the Exam, those students who had not finished the Earth's Resources Vocabulary were allowed to finish them. They had been assigned for homework. The Earth's Resources vocabulary will be the 1st grade of the 2nd 9 Weeks.
Rocks
We took the Rocks Test today. Tomorrow we will take the 1st Quarter Benchmark Test. The Benchmark Test will be the last grade for the 1st 9 Weeks in Earth & Space Science. After finishing the test, students began the Earth's Resources Vocabulary. It was for homework. This is the 1st grade of the 2nd 9 Weeks.
Rocks
We reviewed the Rocks Chapter Assessment, then went over the Seek-n-Find answers and the computer Quiz on the chapter. Finally, the test on Rocks was moved to Thursday and the 1st 9 Weeks Exam on Friday.
Rock Notes
10/6 (Monday)- Metamorphic Rock Notes
Students finished the notes on Metamorphic Rocks and their major characteristics. Then, we reminded them that their Benchmark Test will be on Friday. They will have a Rocks Vocabulary Test on Tuesday and the Chapter Test on Wednesday. They were assigned the Rocks Seek-N-Find for homework.
10/7 (Tuesday) - Rocks Voc. Test
Students have the Rocks Voc. Test today. They will also have the Rocks Chapter Assessment and the Review Guide to complete. They were Reminded of the Rocks Chapter Test tomorrow and the 9 Weeks test on Friday. They have already received the 1st 9 Weeks Exam Rev. Guide. They must have a pencil.
Rocks
Students continued the Rocks PowerPoint on the notes concerning Sedimentary Rocks. They learned how they are formed and classified. They were also given the 1st QTr Review Guide in order to prepare and study for their 1st 9 Weeks Benchmark Test on Friday.
Rocks
Students finished the notes on Igneous rocks and their types. We learned the types of composition and texture used to identify igneous rocks. After looking at examples of igneous rocks, we continued in the PowerPoint talking about sedimentary rocks and where they are formed. They were told of the 9 Weeks Exam on next Friday.

We worked on and completed the Rocks Review Questions. Students had the Rocks Vocabulary due and were to read and answer the Review Questions for Rocks.
10-1
Students were to turn in the Rocks Review Questions from homework and we began the notes on "Rocks". The 1st 9 Weeks Test will be on Friday, Oct. 10.
Rocks Voc.
Students were returned their Minerals Test and got to update their grade sheets. They were given the Rocks Vocabulary and had it due at the end of class.
