Today, we completed the Glaciers, Deserts and Wind Seek-n-find in class in preparations for the Voc. Test which we took the last 20 min. The Chapter Assessment will be done on Monday with a review of the Voc. Test and the Chapter Test will be on Tuesday.

Students were to finish the vocabulary for the Glaciers, Deserts, and Wind Chapter. Those who did not finish the Drawing of the San Dunes were to finish them today and begin the Review Questions. Lots of information for this chapter so review.
Glaciers, Desert, & Wind
Students drew pictures of the 6 types of Sand Dunes. Then they began on the Vocabulary for this chapter of Glaciers, Deserts, and Wind.
Deserts
Today, we looked at the 6 forms of sand dunes in a desert and took notes on the characteristics of them. We will draw the 6 forms and complete the Vocabulary on this chapter on Monday. Have a great Weekend.
Deserts
Today, we took notes on the causes of deserts and their formations, the types of deserts and results of wind on landscapes.
Zone of Wastage
Today, we reviewed the notes on areas in the Zone of Wastage where eskers, drumlins, and kettles are located. Then we briefly mentioned information on deserts.
Glaciers
Students finished the drawing from the Glacial Landforms and Moraines drawings. Whatever was not finished was due for homework tomorrow.
Glacial Landscaping
Students today drew pictures to help determine the zones of accumulation and wastage in a glacier. We also drew pictures of cirques, horns, and valley glaciers to help see how glaciers change landscapes. Tomorrow you need your colored pencils/markers again as we finish the drawings.
Cirques, Kettles and Glacial Till
Today, we learned how to classify glacial debris and the locations of the glacial debris types. Also, the names of the items in the zone of wastage were learned.
Glaciers & their Characteristics
Factors in glacial erosion, types of glacial erosion and the effects that glaciers have on the landscape were discussed and shown on a powerpoint for this chapter. More notes to come from the powerpoint.
