3-10-15 (Tuesday)
Students will take the “Plate Tectonics” Chapter Test (100 pts) first. After the Test, they will be given the 3rd Qtr Benchmark Test (100 pts). Those that do not finish will be expected to come back 7th Period to complete their 3rd 9 Weeks grades. The vocabulary for Volcanoes (56 pts)was given to students after the test and expected to be completed for homework.

3-6-15 (Friday)
Students took the “Plate Tectonics” Chapter Test. After the Test, they were given the 3rd Qtr Benchmark Review Guide to prepare for the 3rd Qtr Benchmark Test on Tuesday. Several students were absent going to their Athletic Physicals at Jefferson State Community College or to Tanniehill State Park on a field Trip. All of those students will take the “Plate Tectonics” Test first on Tuesday, then the Benchmark Test afterwards.

3/4/15 (Wednesday)
Due to so many low grades on the Plate Tectonics Vocabulary Test, we reviewed the Ch. 9 Pretest and Ch. 17 WS in preparation for the "Plate Tectonics" Chapter Test. It was moved to Thursday. Once again, no takers were on for the 3rd Qtr Benchmark Review Guide.

3/3/15 (Tuesday)
Students completed the "Plate Tectonics" Chapter Assessment on Tuesday first. Then, students took the "Plate Tectonics" Vocabulary Test following. They were encouraged, once again, to pick up the 9 Weeks Exam Review Guide for their test on Friday. The "Plate Tectonics" Chapter Test will be on Wednesday.

3/2/15 (Monday)
Students began working on the "Plate Tectonics" Ch. 9 Pretest corrections to begin class. They were allowed to use their books to fix any incorrect answer on their scantrons. After approximately 20 min, they were to complete the "Ch. 17" Worksheet (54 pts) in class. They were to complete the "Plate Tectonics" Crossword Puzzle (40 pts) for homework. The "Plate Tectonics" Students were encouraged to pick up the 3rd 9 Weeks Review Guide. The 3rd Qtr Benchmark Test will be on Friday, the last day of the 3rd 9 Weeks.

Students watched a VHS videotape during class to deepen their knowledge on the beginnings of Plate Tectonics was viewed the entire class period. Notes were taken and turned in as a grade for their observations.

Students were informed that the 9 Weeks Test will be next Friday, and Review Guides would be available on Monday. Grades will be finalized on next Wednesday.

2-17-15
We began to discuss the different types of boundaries in Plate Tectonics. Evidence of plate destruction/creation were discussed as well as locations to find the different types of boundaries.

We continued to discuss the different types of boundaries in Plate Tectonics. Evidence of plate destruction/creation were discussed as well as locations to find the different types of boundaries. There were very good discussions as well as learning demonstrated by both classes.
