We completed the "Glaciers, Deserts, and Wind" Chapter Assessment from their Book and took the Vocabulary Test from the same Chapter. Students must bring a pencil to take the Chapter Test on Thursday.

Students continued the Drawings from the Glaciers and Sand Dunes in an attempt to learn the parts of a glacier and the types of Sand Dunes. They will have their "Glaciers, Deserts, and Wind" Vocabulary Test on Tuesday, and the Chapter Test on Wednesday. Enjoy your Martin Luther King Jr Celebration on Monday. See you on Tuesday.

2nd
We began the drawings (4 total, 100 pts total, 25pts/drawing) that depicted the parts of a moving glacier, the landscapes left from a receding glacier, the 6 types of sand dunes, and the erosional landscapes of a glacier from their text. The idea is to learn the parts from the concepts we have studied. We will finish the drawings on Friday which means the Vocabulary test will be moved to the Tuesday when we get back. Also, the "Glaciers, Deserts, and Wind" Chapter Test will be on Wednesday.

We finished the notes from the PowerPoint on "Glaciers, Deserts and Wind". We completed the notes on Deserts and Wind today. Students learned how sand dunes are formed and their six characteristic shapes. We also reviewed and compared various landforms created by glaciers with those in deserts. Class was concluded early so the drawings that were to be done in class will be done tomorrow. Homework was to draw, color, and label the six shapes of dunes on a sheet of paper. They were also to have the descriptions of the dunes. Various colors were given to be used in drawing the different dunes. The dune drawings are due tomorrow. They will have a Vocabulary Test on "Glaciers, Deserts, and Wind" on Thursday and the Chapter Test on Friday.

Many notes on deserts were compared to Glaciers. We almost completed the notes on Glaciers, Deserts and Wind on today. We have to discuss and take notes on the shapes of dunes and their characteristics tomorrow. We will also complete the Glaciers, Deserts, and Wind Seek-n-Find tomorrow and have the Vocabulary Test on Thursday. The Chapter Test will be on Friday. They were reminded to be sure and bring their colored pencils/markers/crayons tomorrow for the Drawings (3rd day)

Today, we began and worked on the Review Questions from the "Glaciers, Deserts, and Wind" Chapter. Students were expected to read, summarize and complete the Review Questions Worksheet (60 pts) for homework. After completing the work, they should be prepared for discussing the chapter on Glaciers, Deserts, and Wind.
