Kara Burleson will be the new assistant principal at Helena Elementary School.  Ms. Burleson has over nine years in education and was most recently a teacher at Valley Intermediate School.  She earned a bachelor’s of education from Auburn University and a master’s degree in Elementary Education and Instructional Leadership from the University of Montevallo.  She is also a national board certified teacher.
