The Oak Mountain Elementary School’s Parent-Teacher Organization is hosting its 2014 Fall Fun Fest event on October 18, from 10:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
The annual fundraiser will be held on the school grounds and will offer family-friendly entertainment, food and activities and crafts.
Attendees can enjoy inflatable structures, seasonal crafts, and other fun activities such as cake, candy and soda walks. The Oak Mountain High School baseball team will host a dunking booth, and guests can enjoy taking advantage of a pumpkin patch and hay ride.
A variety of treats and healthy snacks will be available for purchase in addition to a special $5 Chik-Fil-A lunch combo.
Local vendors will be onsite selling crafts and other items, and the Shelby County Humane Society will offer pet adoptions. This year’s event will also feature performances by the Blue Bird Choir and the new OMES Little League cheer squad.
The event will also feature college football games on large screen TVs thanks to Direct TV so that fans won’t have to miss out on watching game day events.
As the school’s largest annual fundraiser, the Fall Fun Festival also includes a silent auction which will feature a unique opportunity this year to view auction items online and make advance bidding.
All proceeds from the Fall Fun Fest go toward education improvements at Oak Mountain Elementary School. Past funding has helped purchase playground equipment and classroom supplies.
