A parenting workshop that was held September 26 for Helena Elementary and Helena Intermediate parents was a big success, according to HES Principal Mary Cooper. Close to 50 parents attended Paul Johnson’s workshop “Parenting your Child’s Design: Improving Communication with your Child.” Johnson, a Helena resident, is a nationally certified licensed marriage and family counselor who works in private practice counseling at LifePractical Counseling,

“The feedback from parents who attended the workshop has been very positive,” said Mrs. Cooper. “This is just the first of many parenting workshops Helena Elementary and Helena Intermediate School will host. This semester, workshops will be hosted at Helena Elementary School the first Wednesday of each month. Look for more information regarding our upcoming November workshop soon.”
