Members of the Calera High School Future Teachers of America (FTA) and Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) spent an afternoon with the After School Care Program at Calera Intermediate School for a “Monster Mash” Halloween party. The high school students planned and organized a fun afternoon of events including Monster Bowling, Ring toss, Bucket game, Toilet Paper Mummies, Bingo, a pumpkin craft, and a healthy snack.
CHS student, Catie Crowe, helped at the Bingo station. “I had so much fun playing Bingo with the kids. I can’t believe they were so competitive over bingo.” Madison Jacobs, who worked the ring toss game, said “I enjoyed seeing all the kids smile and have fun.”
Both the high school students and the intermediate school students talked about how much fun they had and the intermediate school students did not want to go home because they were having so much fun.
CAIS student Karma O said, “It was fun. The dice in the bucket game was pretty challenging, but I still got it in the bucket. The snack and Bingo was fun too.”
