The Shelby County School District will hold Kindergarten pre-enrollment on April 6 and April 7 at all elementary schools.   Pre-enrollment will be held on April 6 from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m  and on April 7 from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The enrolling parent of legal guardian must present a photo ID.  The following information will also be required:  proof of age/ birth certificate; a valid Alabama Immunization Form;  proof of residence; and proof of custody (including court order if applicable).

Two of the following documents are required to establish proof of residence – mortgage statement, property deed, lease, power bill, gas bill, or water bill.  The parent or legal guardian’s name and service address must be listed.  All students will be required to provide updated residence verification documents prior to the start of the 2016-2017 school year.

Disclosure of child’s social security number (SSN) is voluntary.  If the parent elects not to provide a SSN, a temporary identification number will be generated and utilized instead. The child’s SSN is requested for use in conjunction with enrollment in school as provided in Alabama Administrative Code §290-3-1-.02(2)(b)(2). It will be used as a means of identification in the statewide student management system.
