Career Technical Education students from 13 middle and high schools, as well as the Shelby County Career Technical Education Center, were recently honored at the Career Technical Education Awards Banquet held April 30 at the Shelby County Instructional Services Center.
Jackson Pruett, from The Shelby County Chamber, was the guest speaker for the event which was sponsored by Shelby County Community Education and the Shelby County Education Foundation.
Students honored were nominated based on the following criteria: Career Technical Program credentials/academics, Career Tech Service Organizations (CTSO) leadership, and/or career technical conference winners. Teachers of the various career technical programs throughout the county were also recognized.
