Montevallo High and Montevallo Middle students, including students from the MHS National Art Society, recently created and decorated skulls for Dios de los Muertos. The students sold the skulls at Art Stalk, held October 26 along Main Street in Montevallo.
“The students enjoyed making the skulls out of paper mache and decorating them with everything from acrylic paints and dimensional paints to sequins and feathers. All proceeds from selling the skulls will go to support the art departments at both schools and hopefully fund the expenses of future field trips,” said Hilary Whitson, art teacher at both MHS and MMS.
