Jan Curtis will serve as the next principal of Oak Mountain Elementary School after being approved for the position by the Shelby County Board of Education.

Mrs. Curtis has over sixteen years of experience in education and most recently served as the assistant principal at Oak Mountain Elementary School. 

She earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a master’s degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education and in Instructional Leadership from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
