WEEK OF AUGUST 18-22
Monday – took vocabulary quiz on -ology words and discussed fishbowl discussion method. I also gave out the reading log and reading rules hand out.  We also completed # 1 and 3 of activity three in our “An Open Heart” packet FISHBOWL DISCUSSIONS FOR 3/4 period AND 6/7 period WILL BE WEDNESDAY. FISHBOWL DISCUSSIONS FOR 7/8 period WILL BE MONDAY. Homework: READ and look for quotes for fishbowl
Tuesday – new vocabulary words (-meter); discussed post-mortem analysis of character for summer reading. This project should be done with either Out of My Mind OR Waiting for Normal. We reviewed pronouns and began DGP week 1. HW: Read, fishbowl quotes, and post-mortem project
Wednesday – new vocabulary words; 3/4 period and 6/7 period fishbowl discussion; 8th period work on activities 3 and 4 of “An Open Heart” HW: read and work on post-mortem
Thursday – 4th period and 6th period to Library; 7/8 period new vocabulary, work on post-mortem, and library HW: read and work on post-mortem HW: read and work on post-mortem
Friday – new vocabulary; sentence diagramming notes and DGP Tuesday – Friday for 8; 3/4 and 5/6 will also do activities 3 and 4 of “An Open Heart” HW: read and work on post-mortem
