1. We are having a DGP/DRP quiz on weeks 1-4 Wednesday (this has been on the board all week and will only ensure that the students have completed the daily assignments).
2. Dialectical Journals will be taken up for a grade Friday. Please be sure you have been keeping up with your journal entries. I should see three quotes and three responses for each week in September (week of 1-5; week of 8-12; week of 15-19; week of 22-26)
3. We will have a book talk on Friday about the students dystopian or inspirational novels. The students have been given a checklist of speaking points. Although no written assignment is due for the book talk, please be prepared to discuss the theme and characters of your book with your small group.
4. One pagers AND reading logs are due Friday. Please refer to your one pager directions page in the class resources tab of your red binder for specific instructions. If you lost the copy I gave you, the sheet can be found on the blog.
5. Greek roots quiz on roots for weeks 1-3 will be Friday, October 3.
***This week in class we are working on research assignments. I have asked the students not to do the research at home because I want to ensure that the students understand HOW to document their sources and organize a research project.
