Well, students have taken their first test of the new year, handed in their first logs and vocabulary homework, gotten their new logs, new vocabulary work sheets and their novels, Daniel’s Story . It has been a busy week !!
Our next test is on Thursday, January 19
This week’s vocab homework is to write the definitions for the words onto the Vocabulary part 1 (Ch. 1&2) They do not need to supply the page the word is found on.
Our words are: disoriented, Chancellor, visas, ration cards, rucksack, parliament, pact, petty, shambles, vermin, looting, consulate, looting,
storm trooper, newsreel, quota, deported
Homework due next Tues: Read ch1. highlight as described in class( unfamiliar words and terms and anything you want to talk about in class (WASAPS)
The IR Assesments due on Feb. 15 are not for Daniel’s Story. They are for independently read books ok’d by the teacher. Students may not do IR assessments on books they read with another teacher.
