Summer Reading and End of year awards

Dont let your year’s  reading gains turn into summer subtractions.  I highly recommend you get hold of books on audio at levels on or slighty above your grade level so that you can practice the strategies you learned this year,  learn new vocabulary and grow your brain.  Your  Helena Public library has some terrific books from which to choose.

Outdoor Adventure–Hobbs, London, Paulsen

Realistic fiction–Voit, Evangelista

and  Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys mysteries

Tom Clancy’s and John Grisham’s kids series

Historical Fiction–Christopher P. Curtis, Sharon Draper   and the dear America series

 Get  ready for the new Sherlock Holmes tv show read Sir Author Conan Doyle

Once again the Highest Class Average contest winner was 7th period with an 86.5 average.    2ndplace: 2nd- 85.8,           3rdplace:3rd 85.4   , 4th place:1st 84.19,    5th place:8th81.2
