Students are to write an ODE that will be included in the Original Poetry Project. Original Poetry Project 2015
Tuesday- DGP- We will learn about limericks, sonnets, and diamante poems from the above powerpoint. We will then create a limerick as a class in small groups. Classwork/Homework: students will write an original limerick (that will be included in the original poetry project)
Wednesday– DGP We will learn about blackout poetry from this website http://www.pbs.org/newshour/bb/entertainment-july-dec10-kleon_09-14/ and then create our own blackout poem. (that will be included in the original poetry project) PLEASE BRING A BLACK SHARPIE TO CLASS THURSDAY AND FRIDAY IN ORDER TO CREATE THIS KIND OF POEM!
We will also learn about “I Am” poems and write one for homework using this format: http://ettcweb.lr.k12.nj.us/forms/iampoem.htm (that will be included in the original poetry project)
WE WILL TYPE THESE POEMS ON THURSDAY AND FRIDAY WHILE IN THE COMPUTER LAB. ALL POEMS MUST BE TYPED IN GOOGLE DOCS.
Thursday & Friday– DGP & we will be in the media center typing poems into Google Docs and working on the Poet Research Project.
