Tentative Calendar: A tentative calendar is provided and is posted on the team BAND app. Once you make the team an invite to join the BAND app will be sent out. While we have made every effort to include as much information as possible, events may be added and dates are subject to change.
Football/Competition Cheer OR Basketball Cheer: This year we will have two separate cheer teams. Athletes will have the choice to pick between trying out for football/competition cheer Or basketball cheer. Athletes will not be allowed to try out for both. Those trying out for basketball cheer will not complete the tumbling portion of tryouts. Having two teams will allow athletes that play volleyball or run cross country to be able to also cheer for basketball season. Basketball cheer will not have to attend camp during the summer.
After Tryout Meeting: 3/19 – 6:00pm in the library (this will also serve as our fitting date & athletes will stay after school)
After School Practices: Practices will start on 4/2 for football/competition cheer and the first of October for basketball cheer. Dates will be posted on the Band app.
Summer Camp: Camp will take place during the month of June. We will be attending UCA camp at The Great Wolf Lodge in LaGrange, GA. The dates will be June 17th-19th. Camp is required for the football/competition team.
Football/Competition Cheer Only – We will meet for the month of June 5th, 6th, 11th, 12th, & 13th from 9:00-11:30. These practices are required. Please contact Coach Trice for any conflicts. Days could change if we are in need of extra practice time.
Off weeks: May 27th, June 24th, July 1st, & July 8th (During these weeks the girls may have material to work on while at home. It will be their responsibility to have the material mastered once we join back)
We will have a virtual week – July 15th. Material will be sent to the girls for them to learn and to have prepared once we come back together. We will start back together the week of July 22nd. Dates and times will be added to the Band app. Once school starts back practice usually will be on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays. More practices could be added at any point.
Uniforms, Camp wear, and Accessories: Uniforms, camp wear and accessories are chosen by the coach. Squad members are responsible for purchase, care and alterations.
