“every riven thing” by wiman – we read a poem by him in early january – the book was a collection of his work – probably the first book of poetry i’ve read in my adult life – and i really enjoyed it – he’s not too obscure for me
“bigger than the game” by weinreb – book about how sports changed in the mid ’80s – superstars began to rule – story of bo jackson, len bias, the boz – what was sad was that even though the book is relatively knew, some of it was dated (Joe Pa was treated like a great guy, jim mcmahon before his brain damage became noticeable and public)
“without reservations” by marriott jr. – we will blog on some of his thoughts – 80-plus year old and former head of the hotel chain with his last name – just amazing that someone can lead a company for so many years and stay humble about it
“the most important thing happening” by steele – as i told you, “the monsters win” 🙂 really did enjoy this book – surprisingly because i’d sworn off Christian fiction – and this one was very different than the genre it’s placed in – basically, a collection of stories about story – the word play was great – but the monsters won so that was sort of a bummer…
“calico joe” by grisham – the good part was i read it in a day – the bad part was that it was pretty simple – the worse part is that the cubs are still losers – thanks mr. grisham for the reminder…

That’s probably why he was so smart because he could fit so much knowledge inside his giant head.he never started speaking until the age of 3. When he grew older he dropped out of high school because he was outsmarting all of his teachers.so he went to an institute in Switzerland to see what else he could learn. As he had gotten a little older, he had already won a Nobel Prize for his paper on photoelectric effect at age 26. He also came up with the theory of relativity. Everyone had heard of how smart he was since he had won a Nobel prize, so he was given honorary doctorate degrees in science,medicine,and philosophy from universities all over the world.

Christopher had a dream of sailing east to find the orient, but he wanted to get there by sailing west. People at that time had already known that the earth was round. But why would someone want to sail the wrong direction to get to where they are going. Chris was born in Italy and later moved to Portugal. Married and then had two sons.while he was there, he tried to get the Portuguese royals to bankroll his dreams but they denied him. He was so annoyed that they said no that he moved away to Spain. Most likely leaving his wife and two kids.everyone knows the saying of Christopher Columbus sailing the ocean blue in 1492. But at that time a hundred men boarded three ships. The Nina, the Pinta, and the Santa Maria. At age 41, they headed west into unmapped waters to search endlessly for the Orient.

So anyways in The Scorch Trials all of The Gladers are walking through a tunnel in the dark and the silver medal ball keeps flying around and like ripping the heads off of people.
The guys are trying to make it through the tunnel as fast as they can and Thomas has to help save a boys life because his head is about to get chopped off by the flying silver balls
Then all the boys make it out to the scorch and they think that they will like immediately die because it is so hot

This book is based on a time period from 2035 to 2036 and when the kidnappers kidnap him they act like they are doctors in a ambulance they sedate him and he wakes up right when they stop to get him out and he see’s a red light on his vidphone and he knows that, that means sombody watching him but the scary part is, is that he don’t know who is watching him he hopes that it might be his overly protective dad that had a GTD installed in him and a GTD tells the parent who is watching the kid exactly were the kids are well that’s all i got for to night so i guess this is Goodbye for now =-]>
I’m reading THE HUNGER GAMES, by Suzanne Collins. I’m to the part where they have to defeat fox face and then they have to defeat Cato. Peeta and Katniss have teamed up because they made a new rule that two people can win if they’re from the same district. When they team up their in desperate to find food so peeta gathers erbs for food while Katniss goes and hunts for something bigger. They get back to camp and peeta discovers that fox face has died from eating some of the berries, and then Katniss recognizes that they are poisonous, so they don’t eat them. They figure that it won’t be long before Cato is on the hunt to kill them. They start to gather their things and head towards the lake because the game makers have made it an only water source so that it will drive Cato and them right into each other, so they will have to fight to the death. When they get there they discover that Cato is nowhere to be seen. Then out of nowhere he comes running but not at them, away from something. The Capitol has mutated a wolf with the dead tributes from the games. They are vicious and coming straight towards them they start climbing the cornucopia and they get about twenty feet up and then they stop and Katniss is poised to strike on the dogs. She shoots a few of them and then Cato grabs peeta in a chokehold, then Katniss shoots Cato in the hand and he drops peeta and then Cato falls to the ground and is taken by the mutts. He is wearing high tech armor and is being bitten a lot but is not dying, so Katniss goes down and loads her last arrow and hits him strait into the skull and without a doubt kills him on contact. Peeta and Katniss become the victors of the 74th hunger games.

I’m reading the Grimm legacy. Elizabeth went into the grim collection with anjalis hair pin and got stick in there. Mark got her out and then they went upstairs but ms callender caught them and sent elizabeth tp Doc. She felt bad because thy awarded her for being not honest. They have her her grimm collection key, which was a paperholderthingymajig. She learned how to get in and out of the collection and that’s all I’ve read. Crud…

So there i was sitting in my room reading dangerous enough then I fall out of my bed and die haha just kidding but I have been reading mere Christianity and it has been a deep deep book one thing I have really liked about it is the choices chapter it talks about what you should do when people aren’t looking in think this is one of the best charectoristects somebody should have because if you do not have character you won’t be able to confront god on judgement day and say I have spread your word to many others because you cannot lie to god if there is one thing I will learn from this story is it teaches you how to act
I HAVE A WAR STORY. It was me v.s. my friend chase harvey ( home schooled nerd who girls find appealing. ) So, this is counting as creative, but it is a war story.
So, me and chase ( the home schooled nerd who girls find appealing. ) were playing WWE 12 and he says “you wanna wrestle” and i say “yes, but i will beat you an inch from death, stop to dig a hole, throw you in the hole, bury you then stomp on the patch of dirt you are buried in.” And he says “bring it on” ( in the voice of a home schooled nerd who girls find appealing.) Then, the war began. We made a deal to only throw light punches. Chase pushes me against the wall, then I knee him in the gut ( which he calls “abs” ) and spin around so now he is against the wall. Then I punch him in the ribs and fling him on to the air matress. He stood up and we got into a clinch. He got me in a headlock, but i did a fisherman suplex and the impact made him let go. Then he punches me in the ribs and i stumble backwards. He tried to grab me but i dodged it and hit him hard in the kidneys. That really hurt him s we decided to stop.
THAT WAS THE WAR WITH THE HOME SCHOOLED NERD WHO GIRLS FIND APPEALING.
Waz up? Tonight, I will talk about the book I am currently reading; THANKS CALEB! The book’s title is How to Be Like Mike.
Jordan describes a tunnel that he is always in whenever he is on the court. He only looks ahead, and lets nothing distract him. The Tunnel is actually pretty neat to think about, considering the focus it would take to only look forward, and only focus on the game. That aspect though, set Jordan apart from the rest. Without dedication, Michael Jordan would be know as a -don’t take this in a wrong way, but a Lebron James kind of player. Lebron headlines in the NBA every day, leading the team in PPG (points per game), and frequently makes appearences in All-Star games and Olympic teams. Lebron, however, isn’t recognized for his dedication. If so, not many people know that he is first to the court, and last to leave. Nobody has put that information out there; does that mean that the idea simply does not exist?
Jordan’s dedication was made public. This may be because this happened right as our country was in the midst of evolving. Hippies, to rappers; which I guess happens every new decade. Players today though, are too lazy. The NBA is providing more accessibility to players as advancements in technology/ways of doing things change.
Back to my main topic though, about The Tunnel. Every time I step out onto the court now, I imagine a tunnel of my own. Not that I want to try to become Jordan, it’s just that I am trying a technique that worked for a great.
After each practice, Jordan would find himself with skinned knees, and sweating tremendously. Jordan really did practice like he played. it is even said that it was better to watch Jordan practice, because his performance was better.
While Jordan performed great in practice, he also tried new stradegies. Which is a good thing, if your coach respects you like Jordan’s coach did to him. If your coach doesn’t realize what your trying to do, they will often scold at your failed attempts;because we all fail at first.
I am still learning about Jordan’s great success, yet I have already taken so much away from what I have learned so far. Jordan is definitely a role model of outstanding work ethic for generations to come.
Sorry about blogging so late I’ve been playing minecraft.okay back to the real blog while bobby and them are racing back zetlin gets stuck a giant spider web.loor goes back to cut him out and bobby waits to catch him.when he is loose they continue on to the engine room to see what has happened. when they get there they find a large pole stuck into the gears.so they stop and climb down the stairs to get to the outside.they get out and they have controll of the jump again so they teleport back to reality.that’s all for book four.scince I don’t have book five I’m going to read Cirque du freak.
Mon- coach hedge hands jason the club and tells him he will be right back. He jumps into the canyon after leo. Then jason turns and faces dylan. Jason throws the club at dylan and it smacks him in the face. It rolls down the walkway and lands next to piper.
Tues-jason reaches in his pockets and pulls out a coin. He flipped it into the air and it changed into a sword. He had no clue how he knew it would do that he just let his instincts take over. Dylan laughed and spread his arms and two other storm spirits appeared.
Weds- jasun runs up and stabs the two spirits in the stomach and the immediately turn into gold dust. Then coach hedge comes up from the canyon with leo. Piper wakes up and dylan sends a burst of air at her. Then dylan grabs leo and tells jason he has to choose.
Thurs- coach hedge tells jason that he will save leo. Then jason runs over to piper and she slips and falls. Jason jumps into the canyon because he had an instinct to. He easily catches up to piper and grabs her. Then he closes his eyes and waits for impact but it never happens.
The seventh graders have a bone to pick with Oak mountain for the sixth graders.

Jake tryed out for sports( he isn’t the sporty type if you know what I mean)
but every time he played he got pumbled even if the sport wasn’t that physical the other kids found a way to make it physical.
Jake tryed being a librarian aid( and he loved books) but the libraian sayed the he wasn’t what the were looking for.( he basically got layed off and he didn’t even have the job)
Jake tryed being a teachers pet and the teacher told him that she already has a person for it.( then the teacher made the kids put their names in a hat and she drew them out.)( Jake’s name wasn’t in there)
Jake tryed being a geek and it didn’t work( they actually told him that he was to big of a NERD to get into there “GROUP”)
Jake tryed being one of the popular kids( it wasn’t his first resort but he was desperate) and lets just say the kids that were popular we also into sports.
Jake tryed one last thing he went up to the new kid and talked to him as best as he could. The new kid sayed his name was Jack . Jake had finally found some one to hang out with.

I’m reading CATCHING FIRE, by Suzanne Collins. I started reading it on Sunday but I read the must Monday and Tuesday. I’ll start from the beginning since I have to do ten minutes of journaling to do. Katniss has had a surprise visit from president snow. He tells her that her friend will die if she does not convince him and everybody else that she is hopelessly in love with peeta and that was the only reason she even had a thought of being rebellious. He tells her that she must do this because there have been thoughts of uprisings against the Capitol because of Katniss’s rebellious actions. Then that afternoon they have to go through the victors tour. She and peeta have to remain in love for the whole trip in order for her friend Gales survival. There’s ten minutes
I’m reading Catching Fire, by Suzanne Collins. I think the author wrote this book to entertain because it is not informing you about anything and it is not persuading you to do anything either. I’m to the part where Katniss has told Peeta and Haymitch about her little consultation with president Snow, and how she must calm the crowds by convincing them that she and Peeta are in love for real. She and Peeta go through the first stop on the districts to their victory tours. When their train finally arrives at district eleven and the first change that they notice is that this district is very heavily guarded, there is a very tall fence around the district and there is also heavily armed peacekeepers in guard towers. They go to the podium unknowingly, wondrering what would come of this visit and if they could convince these people so that they can have a good start.

I am blogging right now! I guess you figured that out already since your so “smart” I’m reading Catching Fire, by Suzanne Collins. I am to the part. Where Katniss is heading to the Capitol wondering if she did good enough to calm down the uprising thoughts. When she goes up there she gets an look that means she didn’t do we’ll enough, but instead of being sad, she smiles because at least now she knows what direction to head into.
I am reading Catching Fire, by Suzanne Collins. I am to the part where Katniss has just realized what she has really done by causing uprisings in the districts. She realizes that she has put her friend in the line of fire by the whole fake love thing with Peeta. She is at president Snow’s house at a party in the Capitol. She sees people drinking a special wine to make them throw up so they can eat more food. This disgusts Katniss, because back in her district other people a re lucky to even get a nibble of food, and here at the Capitol people are completely filling there stomachs, throwing up on purpose, and eating more food just for the fun of it. She then notices that its about midnight and then she leaves and goes to bed. The next morning they go back to her district and have the victors festival feast and everybody would be able to eat that day. Before the feast they are at the mayors house and she hears a tv and walks in and then sees the uprisings that have been recorded from district eight. There are people throwing bricks at the buildings and doing damage to things in the square, then she sees the peacekeepers shooting at random into to the crowds killing people here and there, and at that moment she realizes that she and anything she cares about will be killed or destroyed because of this.
