where the slow kids get to be FIRST!!! on Sundays – always…

i thought it was supposed to rain today and get cool…

“after (something) after” – nicole should know the title for this one – but i forget it – it’s a follow up to “drums, girls, and dangerous pie” – a BOB last year – i think there are more books in this series – more power to them – the author, and the company – i, however, am not a fan – just b/c it’s really very low end reading – very predictable – and very unrealistic  – but for you fans of spicy eighth grade romance, go ahead:)

“january 365” – bad BOB – bad BOB – book one of 12 – hello??? 12 books for the series – in middle school??? before i lose track of all my anger, let’s go with this: someone help me, is there a Richmond in great britain or australia – b/c two pages in, i read “mum” and knew it was british – but they keep referring to the setting as richmond – and the only richmond i know is virginia – and there’s an original british publisher – so i think they switched some names to “american” to sell more books – or sucker US kids – who are apparently suckered if we’re reading this for BOB

so bad week with books – always next week…

  1. Wow…I need to start getting on here.
However, I do have an excuse- I was singing 1D while I cleaned my room.

What should my word goal for Nanowrimo be this year? My novel’s already got 9000 words, so I’m not sure…

  2. detective – excused – you were praying anyway last night, right??? at least, i thought you were invocating:)

i’m of two camps about the nanowrimo word goal – you could add more – or you could take the month and go over your novel with a fine-tuned comb – literally – no, not:) but you could go over it – edit it – polish it – and make it the best 9,000 you can – in a perfect world, i’d get to 50,000 myself before may so that i can do that – but sometimes, for me, just getting the words down is all i have time for – i am up to 23,000 though

  3. The novel is no where near finished, even with the fact I have been editing it lately. I’ve got 37 pages, four chapters, and I’m only at rising action. The little pieces I’ve been doing for journals are a lot farther into the story…
    😛 🙂
Well, I figured out earlier that Nanowrimo is not about finishing, a novel, it’s about finishing a word goal.

  4. it is about finishing but some of my finishers write forever and don’t get to the publishing phase – so i’m all about making the month work as well as it can for you

  5. in case of suit, i’m siding with the team formerly known as the stars (now in mississippi) – huntsville is a way better city than montgomery

glad that billy’s well into inventing his non-fiction novel category:)

  6. in counting by 7s i want to do one last journal.

willow was a very smart girl then her parents died. she lived a little while with her friends mom. she was very sad (i used this word because i don’t know how to spell mellonkolly or the computer does not recognize this word.) when she found out that her parents died and went into a sort of hibernation and did not go to school. in a few months she wanted to plant some sun flowers and had to get permission from the bank that owned it. she had dell tun it in to the bank and he got a per motion you could say to building rep. her friend the taxi driver and Mia mom adopted her together in a team effort she described.

  7. “A day without sunshine is like, you know, night.”
    -Steve Martin

I love this quotes because it gives some humor to the whole quote everything thing. From the beginning you think this quote is going to be all deep and meaningful but then it just takes a sharp turn into funny smart alec.

“If today were the last day of you life, would you want to do what you are about to do today?”
    -Steve Jobs
    ^
This is one of those quotes that really makes you think about life and making every second count. Because when you think about dying you really do have to think like that, live every day as if you were going to die the next day because no one would want to die knowing they did nothing with their life. And doing something “meaningful” doesn’t mean saving the world from poverty it just means making yourself and the people around you happy, and making sure you’re always happy with who you are.

“Expect problems and eat them for breakfast.”
    -Alfred A. Montapert
    ^
I like this quote because it is motivational but also funny. Its saying to expect problems, know that bad things are going to happen,. But then it has humor and it says “and eat them for breakfast” meaning tackle them and dont let the problems overtake you, dont let the problems ruin your life. eat problems fro breakfast, expect them and when they pop up dont get rid of them.

  8. It started when he got stung on the arm by a wasp(Ben 10 reference in case you didn’t know)
“romiette and julio”;Line:”surely we don’t have to worry gangs here in Cincinnati…”
Commentary:this problem is under their noses and they can’t see it. This is another form of media that portrays adults as mindless, nobodies that don’t care about anything in their kid’s life. this is set up just to cause a problem to resolve.

  9. For Last Week:

Sorry about getting them to you late. The week had been extremely buisy after school hours, and it was driving around Pelham and Hoover all Saturday. I also have a creative block to over come, that I’ve had since the beginning of September. So, onward and upward. We can only fail once at an attempt, right?

The last 8 chapters of “Cirque Du Freak 4: Vampire Mountian” were pretty cool. I’ve now invested a little more time wisely and read a good three chapters, putting me at the beginning of chapter 11 of “Cirque Du Freak 5: Trials of Desth”. So far, in the gap of 18 chapters I HAVEN’T blogged about, Darren Shan has agreed to complete the “Trials” which allow vampires to show one’s strength and earn respect.

It’s also used to promote regular vampires into “Generals”, a form of high ranking over the regular vampires with a little more duty and are most respected fighters out of clan. Generals are also eligable to become a “Prince”, which rule over councils and other affairs of the vampire clan (also has the most authority).

The social group of the vampire is close to all of the other civilizations. The upper class concists of the princes (the said three or four in power during the book; Paris Skyle, Mika Ver Leth, Arrow, and the soon to be prince, Kurda _______ [cannot find Kurda’s last name] ). Then there is the middle class, filled with strong and stuborn characters like Gavner and the use-to-be-general, Larten Crepsley. Last were the Regular vampires, like Darren, who had not become a general but were able to (and some have) take the trials to prove they have a great standing amongst the other vampires and deserved the respect they had.

The Aquadic maze was virtually just a cubical ro rectangular laberinth, not like its usual circular shape, that fills up with water slowly and fills completely at the seventeen minute mark. The tunnels were descrides as mostly smooth and had glass ords with lit candles on the inside that were placed at the top of the walls. Darren himself had taken a long length of time (twenty minutes) to complete the maze (compared to the usual fifteen to seventeen).

The Path of Needles was a more painful and grueling trial that ended with Darren with barely any clothes left (any thing remaining was bloody and reduced to strips of fabric and a few loose and hanging threds). As he climbed up the narrow tunnel, he was continuously forced to dry his hands (with pockets of dirt) from the blood the raced from his cut hands (ripped open by the sharp stalagmights he was using to climb and use as grips/points of leverage). It was narated that his legs were shiny and a coat of red from all of the blood he’d lost.

The start of “The Festival of the Undead” had postpond all of the remaining trials (eight to be exact) because the festival had one strict rule. There was to be no official buisness during the three day festival. The greatest part of the festival was all of the competitions and drinking. Apparently, vampires have about ten times the imune system humans do, so they can widthstand a larger amount of alcohal before getting drunk. I found this to be pretty intresting. Even more intresting was Kurda defeating Arra Sails, a female vampire who had been undefeated for seven years at the game, untile she was beaten by Kurda.

Hope that covers last week… Peace out

  10. Counting by 7’s
Mia has to take a bus all the way around town then to Dell’s place, and she was not happy about it she does not like bus’s. (The reason she has to take a bus around town is because Pattie, (Mia’s mom) is making Dell’s apartment look like a family lives there so when the social worker comes, then they will think that they have good places for willow to be able to stay with them.)

  11. ” I will never count by 7’s anymore…”
This is referring back to how 7 WAS her lucky #, because that was like how old she was when her foster parents adopted her, but now the # 7 reminds her of her old parents she wants to no longer think or talk about the #, this also means she wants to try to start over even though what she is going through. ]

  12. “this acorn is lucky because it is a survivor!”
this acorn she was going to give it to willow to remind willow of all the good things in life, because of how much she was focusing on the bad things.

  13. heh…how coincidental. i’m blogging from the public library. 🙂

still reading ALLEGIANT. i know, right? you’re probably wondering, “why the heck don’t you just read it as fast as you read DIVERGENT, or INSURGENT?”

    honestly, i don’t know why.

    soooooo….

i just got to the part where they went to sleep at the Welfare Center, and Tris finds out her mom came from the Welfare Center to help stop all the commotion going on in the city. from that point on, it gets pretty strange. i don’t have a whole lotta time to blog, so i’m gonna hafta cut this short. le blue hood has a murder mystery to solve….

so many books to choose from! which one…?

    🙂

  14. No comment today
“romiette and julio”Line:”if we leave the road Ben and Destiny can’t see me kiss you”.
Commentary: :0 :0 I was guffawed by this. I didn’t expect it. Romiette and Julio’s romance has just taken a step to far.I wanted juio to be killed off by now. I do not enjoy his persona or his character period. Then this just throw off track. there is no way I can enjoy this book any longer.
    WaspMan out 🙁

  15. I’m reading dolphin tale 2 it is a good book. It is frustrating that my mom wont let me see the movie until I read the book.

    Line:
“I’ve got jars of peanut butter older than you.”

    Commentary:
Now that’s funny because I just cleaned out our kitchen and found a box of jello that the expiration date was in 2005 it as older than my brother. my brother was born in 2006

    line:
    Bye.

    Commentary:
Now is that a sentence. I see the understood you. But is that a sentence.

  16. Wednesday-
A woman knows the face of the man she loves as a sailor knows the open sea.

    Honore de Balzac

So its saying when your love someone you know, I personally think this could be 50/50 but when you look at someone for the first time you know you love them like you know the back of your hand or how ” a sailor knows the open sea”

  17. Thursday-

Love has no age, no limit; and no death.

    John Galsworthy

Love doesn’t have a age limit or it doesn’t start at a certain time in your life its not like one of those height limit things for rollercoasters its can happen anytime love doesn’t have a limit you can love more than person, theres no maximum capacity you can love and love doesn’t end with those people it continues on love is forever.

  18. Dialectical journals-

We waste time looking for the perfect lover, instead of creating the perfect love.

    Tom Robbins

We spend so much time trying to look for that special someone that we forget that we can fall in love just as easy as finding someone that’s perfect its like you can buy something already made instead of making it yourself but it cost more money to buy it already made which will you choose.

True love is like ghosts, which everyone talks about and few have seen.

    Francois de La Rochefoucauld

Actual love is a controversial thing that everyone has claimed they’ve had or experienced real love which few have actually experienced in real life just have said ” they have”. People say they’ve seen ghost but really only a few have.

  19. This weeks Blog

So… after the great first two trials Darren faced, he has a even more heated trial (that’s a joke, as you’ll realize later on). Thistrial escpecially leaves him with nightmares, scars, and the constant holusinations that a drunk or high person would have (he had his lungs full of something regaurdless).

The Hall of Flames (this is where you start laughing)

Literallty a challenge that makes you roast, it is basically just a large stone room with pipes in the floor that expels fire at a fast and random pase. No biggy. Yet Darren is still having nightmares and blacking out (after waking up from his last black out only to “see” mental images from his nightmare in his cell) after the two days embetween the challenges.

The Trick in the “Hall of Princes”

A small theatrical act in the Hall o’ Princes, pulled off by the great so-to-be- prince Kurda, allowes Darren an extra three days of reast before a boar of a challenge.

The Blooded Boars (get my diction from earlier [start laughing NOW!!!])

The Trial consisted of a straight (or for Kobe, screaght) up fight to the death. Fought between Darren and two ginormous boars that had been given the blood of a vampire, highthening there sences and allowing the fight to bee more… interesting. After knocking one of the boars down and killing it, Darren was pinned downed by its carcase. The second hog zones in for a final, fatal attack, but is killed by the “wrong and discraceful” actions of Harget saving him from possibly dying in the ring.

A game of Hide and Go Seek

After the Prince and the other vampires in the hall of Darren’s trial, Darren and the Little Person travel back to their cell. After an awkward silence in the cell, Kurda enters with a small proposition. He has some maps of less used tunnels that he is persuading Darren to use to run away from the Mountain to avoid the spikes in the Hall of Death, which is used for for vampires uncapable of finishing the trials or failing a trial. The two use the tunnels but are later joined by Gavner Paul. They press on in tunnels that stretched under the rivers (used to wash off dead vampire bodies) and came to an opening. Gavner goes down the tunnel on the right to investigate a noise he’d heard. What he found down the tunnel had shaken him. Kurda and Darren crept down the crevice to see the hipe that had been going around the halls. And they were true, exept they were a lot close to the vampires then they realized. There were Vampineeze in the Mountain!

  20. Counting by 7’s
Pattie gave Quang-ha a job it was to pick up a bunch of beer and wine bottles, then she walked into the living room and she noticed there was a skylight in the middle of the room on the roof. But there was a blue tarp over it from the top, it probibly did not look to bad he first put it there but now it was old, moldy, dirty, and there were a few holes in it. Then right when Quang-ha was walking out the door she said, “Quang-ha go take the tarp off the roof of this skylight” Willow noticed that Quang-ha looked annoyed when she started to tell him to do something but it looked like he was begining to be happy. like he was happy that he was told to go to the roof.

  21. Counting by 7’s
Then willow found this to be a chance to stay out of the way in the apartment and to try and make Quang-ha not HATE her. So she spoke up and said, “I will come and help also!” He did not say anything, then as they were walking down the hall she also noticed that he was just going to act like the beer and wine bottle bag was not to heavy for him even though she new how the way he was walking that it really was. So he took it to the roof with him. When they got up there they saw the spot with the tarp on it, it was weighed down by bricks on each corner. As they were picking it off Quang-ha tripped and broke one of the bottle and it landed on the sky light.

  22. Everyone seemed pretty happy with it.

Greg had a school lock in and they were doing the name game and your word had to rhyme wih your name like for example jolly holly but greg coudnt find one so someone said he should be jolly Greg even though that doesent match.

  23. I was a the doctor monday so heres my blog for monday.

To be honest with you I dont think that Rowley is ready for this stuff.

In science they were doing a video about how your body is gonna change and in the middle of the video Rowley had had a panic attack and passed smooth out and had to be escorted out of he room

  24. “Crazy” was awesome.

Sadly for me, though I am Detective, master of karaoke, I had to look up how to spell it in order to finish my outline. I have one outline that goes from ground state to climax, and one that goes from ground state to denouement. Detective couldn’t remember what had happened on one particular day.
All that elvishness gone to waste. *sigh*
    🙂

  26. If you gave your dog a cookie what will happen? I think it would go like this. The dog wants a cookie and you gave it one. It would get sick, then very sick, then very very sick. Then it will die. So it died. Your parents didn’t tell you it died. You figure it out on your own. you get mad. They said “we weren’t going to tell you and get a new dog.”
Now that you know your dog is dead you panic. After you panic you found you bunny DEAD.(kates bunny) We go to the pet store and then you look for dogs and the only one left was a ugly hairless one. So we get the hairless one. Then your friends make fun of you and you get mad.
Then the world will end. That’s what happens when you give a dog a cookie.

    P.S.
    DON’T GIVE A DOG A COOKIE

  27. Allllllrightey! Here’s my creative poem for the week.

    Sunlight

    It seeps through the trees.
    It lightens my spirit.
It tells me that the day will be great.
It kisses my face ever so delicately.
    The sunlight loves me
    and I love the sunlight.

  28. more story…

“You know JoJo? Is he your long lost brother?”

    “No.”

    “Lover?”

    “NO!!! Look at him.”

The detective did. It was hate and aggravation all at the same time.

“Excuse me,” the detective said to JoJo, “But why are you playing with a gavel?”

“Oh, this thing,” JoJo said, “I rather hate judges. Don’t you?”

“Those are big words from a new kid. Are you prepared to back them up in an eating contest?”

“Detective,” Binder Girl interrupted, “We can’t threaten the students. We’re supposed to help them.”

  29. “Boys, I know who’s drownded—it’s us!”(Twain,1988)
They see the commotion across the water and want to know who drowned the tom realized its them.

“This final feather broke the camel’s back.”(Twain,1988)
too much annoyance so the patience broke

“Plainly, here were ‘two souls with but a single thought.'” (twain,1988)
they thought the same way as each other

The group loitered away, still recalling memories of the lost heroes, in awed voices.(Twain,1988)
aww, a sad touching memory as they remember the heros…no really sad

  30. Line: Bethany took the stage

    Commentary:
Bethany is a champion surfer who lost her arm to a shark when she was thirteen years old. She is now in her twenties. Even though she only has one arm she never gives up. She is still a champion surfer. She finally got to swim with Winter. She says ” I love Winter! Isn’t she just amazing!?” These next sentences are about me. When I saw Dolphin Tale I knew I wanted to go to the Clearwater Marine Aquarium and see Winter. When I saw her she looked at me and posed. She loves having her picture taken. I haven’t see Dolphin Tale Two yet but I thought I would read the book first.

Line: Sawyer sat next to Hazel in the crow’s nest

    Commentary:
Hazel had gone up and sat in the crow’s nest. Then, Sawyer climbed up there and sat next to Hazel. Hazel went and sat up there because Panama [a dolphin at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium] had just died. Hazel said “I hardly ever come up here anymore. Sawyer why does stuff like this happen? Why did any of this have to happen? Why did Panama have to die?” Sawyer said “I don’t know why. but we’ll get through it. It’s going to be okay.” That’s all i’m blogging this week.

  31. What? No one said it was fun to be last to blog.

But wait… What if i’m NOT last to blog? Or am I? Do tell.

    “I feel different somehow..”

    ?
    😀 😛 🙂 ‘_’ 😀 🙁 😉

  32. Anyway, i need to blog:

So Tigerclaw wanted to prove that Fireheart isn’t a clan cat and he (Tigerclaw) wanted revenge and wanted to take over the clan by killing his leader and all, when Fireheart discovers his secret. And when Tigerclaw attacks Bluestar in her den, he comes and defends for Bluestar. Tigerclaw is held down after a long fight as Fireheart tells her about what Tigerclaw wanted to do. Bluestar then forced Tigerclaw out of the clan.

we’ll see what happens “net week” when I blog.

  33. back to my story
I look at these them wondering what to do. The largest and oldest looking one spoke up, ” I am Garadone, the mother dragon. These are children. We are the last living dragons in the world. Or so we thought, then you come along. It makes us wonder were you came from. We smelled an Illyic but we thought that clan was wiped out.”
This made me wonder, how did they know my last name was Illyic?

  34. What? But of course we can threaten the students! Especially if they happen to be judge-hating menaces like JoJo… Threatening students is what I do! Isnt that right, sixth grade?

  35. Well i have to do my blog so you wont be last but anyway I’m reading lone survivor and im to the part where they are getting a bomb maker in Afghanistan and he is telling of the things that they’ve went through and he said that the Taliban villages have no toilets so they have a trench around the village and thats where they do thier business and from what i can tell hes fell in it twice before and the second time it was winter and he still ran straight into the freezing cold with full gear on because it was so disgusting. He then tells about a song they made based off of “the burning ring of fire” and it goes something like ” i fell down into a hundred foot rivine, i went down, down, down, and i busted up my spleen, that burning ring of fire” because the guys they are after always hide up in the mountains and there were a lot of serious injuries because of the rough conditions and loose footings and things like that.
